Hau Wong Temple

東涌的侯王宮是一座二級歷史建築，供奉楊侯。該廟建於1765年，是當地社區的重要精神中心。多年來，廟宇經過多次修繕，仍保留其原有風格。廟內舉辦粵劇表演和侯王節等文化活動。廟宇的開放空間曾用於軍事演練和村莊節日，展現其豐富的歷史意義和對該地區的持續聯繫。

Hau Wong Temple in Tung Chung is a Grade 2 Historic Building, dedicated to Yeung Hau. Built in 1765, it serves as a spiritual center for the local community. The temple has undergone several renovations while retaining its original style. It hosts cultural events like Cantonese opera performances and the Hau Wong Festival. The temple’s open space was once used for military drills and village festivals, showcasing its historical significance and enduring connection to the region.

大嶼山保育基金政府在《2018年施政報告》中公布，會設立10億元的「大嶼山保育基金」，在大嶼山推動保育工作，及在一些鄉村和社區進行小型地區改善工程，以支援保育措施。基金用以支援落實大嶼山保育工作，提高社區對大嶼山保育的意識，以及促進社區人士參與實踐保育理念，冀能為現今世代及下一代營造優質生活環境。

Lantau Conservation Fund (LCF) The Government announced in the 2018 Policy Address to set up a $1 billion Lantau Conservation Fund (LCF) to promote conservation of Lantau, and to pursue minor local improvement works in villages and communities in support of conservation initiatives. The LCF will support projects that would contribute to the overall conservation of Lantau, raise community awareness on the conservation of Lantau, and engage the community to put conservation into practice, with a view to fostering a quality living environment for the current generation and beyond.
