馬灣涌舊橋

Ma Wan Chung Old Bridge

在寶安橋出現之前，馬灣涌村民靠一座Z字形的夯土( 即壓實的泥土) 橋連接兩岸。這座橋依據風水彎彎曲曲而建。疏於管理下，舊橋在強風時會搖晃不穩，橋面又因惡化滿佈縫隙。這座橋現今已斷裂停用，卻仍靜靜見證著村民生活的堅毅。

Before Po On Bridge was built, villagers of Ma Wan Chung connected the two shores by this Z-shaped, rammed earthblock bridge. It was designed according to feng shui beliefs. Due to poor maintenance, the bridge would sway unsteadily in strong winds, and the deck was riddled with cracks from deterioration. Though now broken and out of use, the bridge is still a testament to the resilience of the villagers.
